The moment Michael Levy popped out of the womb he looked around and murmured in baby language, "Hello world, what a wonderful world to enjoy life and bathe in happiness."
He was born in Manchester England on the 6th of March 1945. The Second World War was drawing to a close and folks were just beginning to pick up the remnants of five hard years of conflict.
Michael recalls the early days of his childhood; they were exciting times. Every day was an adventure on the streets of the inner city community... Nobody had any spare money. Even candy was on ration until 1950, but nobody ever informed Michael he was poor. He just knew there were only so many hours in each day and he was here to enjoy them. He always went around with a big smile on his face and nobody was able to wipe it away.
At sixteen, he thought it was no use continuing with his education, as he was attending school to make the teachers laugh and they thought of him as a Silly-Micky.
Throughout Michael's life many negative situations came his way but they did not knock him of the path of joy for more than a day or two at most. The biggest devastation was the death of his mother at the age of fifty-five. That was thirty-eight years ago... Michael can recall being very sad for two days. On the third day something came over him he could not explain at the time. It was a feeling of knowing she had not gone anywhere. His mother was still inside him and although he could not reach out to hold and kiss her, inwardly their souls were still connected... The feeling of love and joy was overwhelming and still is.
It was many years before Michael could express that feeling. Indeed, it took six years of deep thought after Michael retired a very successful businessman in 1992, to explain the source of his success. In 1998 Michael wrote his first book "What is The Point" in only ten days.
His lack of education makes his philosophy quite unique in a modern world, where everything is analyzed and sophisticated by experts until all true meaning is drained away. Many experts use erroneous intellectual reasoning and faulty egotistical logic to explain answers that cannot be lived by natural people. At this point in time, schools and universities teach people to read and write to a good standard. However, they do not teach wisdom to the students, on how to apply their learning for the benefit of all humanity, not just for a select few.
Michael is the author of seven books, a mystical poet, inspirational philosopher and wellness/healthy living speaker on cruise ships, radio, TV and seminars. He is a regular wellness columnist for Positive Health Magazine, the leading wellness magazine in the UK. The Royal College of Psychiatry continue to publish selected essays and poetry. His works can be found on numerous website's throughout the world.
